The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton have joined forces to create the most improbable musical act.

AVTT/PTTN released its self-titled debut album in November 2025 to rave reviews. The album offers an array of rootsy Americana, big theatrical pop tunes and mild experimental rock. It's an eclectic mix that features the best of both worlds.

The Avett Brothers are a three-time Grammy^®-nominated American folk-rock band, known for their unique blend of bluegrass, country, punk and pop. Their stripped down, folky sound has a comforting vibe, full of gorgeous melodies and bluegrass jingle jangle.

In 2009, they made their mainstream debut with their critically-acclaimed album I and Love and You. In 2012, their album The Carpenter hit #4 on the Billboard 200, followed by Magpie and the Dandelion in 2013, which debuted at #5.

In 2017, they were the subject of the documentary May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers. In 2022, Swept Away, a musical based on the group's music, opened on Broadway.

Mike Patton, a Renaissance man in every sense of the word, found his biggest commercial success with the '90s alt-rock/rap-metal group Faith No More, as well as the experimental rock band Mr. Bungle.

He continued his musical zigzag by focusing on interesting collaborations, including the deconstructed pop of Peeping Tom and the rock-centric Tomahawk.

Patton has also composed music for movies, including Crank: High Voltage and The Place Beyond the Pines.
