Morrissey, the British music icon and godfather of modern alternative rock, has an influence that stretches across the stratosphere.
As frontman for the '80s indie rock band The Smiths, the enigmatic artist became one of pop culture's most intriguing figures. The band's melancholy songs made him a hero among misfits and outsiders.
In 1987, he embarked on a solo career. In 1993, he was nominated for a Grammy®. Today, the beloved singer continues to sell out shows around the world.
In concert, Morrissey crisscrosses the decades, performing nuggets from The Smiths' songbook as well as his own. He still has a voice like a Maserati and a commanding stage presence that few can match.
Fun Fact: In 2017, the city of Los Angeles declared November 10th "Morrissey Day."
